How do I connect my Xbox 360 to my wireless internet connection 10pts?

I have a D-Link router and I just got a Xbox 360. I would like to connect my Xbox to my internet to my internet but it doesn’t work. Do I need a adapter or a cable running from my Xbox?

All the settings are default and nothing has been tweaked.
Any helpful answers are appreciated
I don’t know what an ethernet cable is.

They sell a Wireless Adaptor So your xbox 360 can pick up your internet wirelessly, or use an Ethernet Cable which if you still have your box for your 360 its the cable that looks like a phone line only wider..

If you want a Wi-Fi connection, you need to get the Wi-Fi adapter. Otherwise, you need an ethernet cable.
