How To Keep My XBOX 360 Video Games From Being Scratched?

My video games become scratched after a couple of weeks of playing. Is their something that I can buy to either repair the games or keep the games from being scratched inside the console.

Make sure you don’t leave your games out and put them back in their case; also, don’t touch it on the flat sides, hold it by the rim.

Is their a GameCrazy store near you? If there is, you can pay a couple bucks and they will buff the disk for you, removing any scratches. Also, you can buy kits that remove scratches from games at most stores that sell games.

Also, do not put your Xbox upright- place it flat on the ground, horizontally. This prevents the disks from warping and getting scratched. If you move your Xbox while there is a game in it, it can and usually will scratch the game, so don’t do it.

I hope this helps!

There are some things that you can buy that will help to repair scratches, but these aren’t incredibly effective with long term damage. You can try getting the disc buffed at your local game store, but this won’t help protect the game. Honestly, I don’t know what you’re doing to the discs, but if you’re simply taking it out of the case, putting it into the console and making sure the Xbox doesn’t move while you’re playing, you should be fine. It usually takes years for me to scratch my discs, and its mostly because I’m careless and leave it where my dog can chew on it. If you just try being careful, the disc should last for quite a while.

If you have your 360 vertical, try placing it horizontally. 360s have been known to scratch games when they are sitting vertically.

Try toothpaste. Put SMALL amount of toothpaste over scratches and then apply it gentally to scratches, rub it evenly with a piece of paper towel and rinse it under cold water.

ok just to say i dnt caare about xstation or whatever but this always works on my cds and dvds you take a spoon of peanut butter and smear it were the scratches are at. and then you take a coffee filter and wipe all the peanut butter off it with out any water . i PROMISE that this will work.

just here to agree with those above and emphasize the
"making sure the Xbox doesn’t move while you’re playing"
part; don’t move it at ALL when disc is spinning.

Are your scratches circular? Like something in the console is rubbing/scratching? Or are they irregular and just go where-ever?

    STOP CHEWING ON YOUR GAMES!
