Will my router work with a wireless xbox 360 adapter?

I have a Netgear rangemax dual band wireless-N router (WNDR3300). I know that the xbox wireless adapters do not work with N routers but I think this router is able to connect with G. I don’t really wanna go blow $100 to find out the adapter won’t work. Thanks.

I have a wireless N router and my 360 adapter works fine for it. I’m almost 100% positive that all wireless N routers are backwards compatible a/b/g, so just go through the setup process in the 360 settings and you will be able to play online! hope that helps.

The standard itself is not the issue. The issue is what type of encryption you have setup. What I don’t like about the xbox wireless adapter is that it does not support WPA.

I really recommend powerline. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9KWdOLgylg&feature=related

This video demonstrates how to connect it to a PS3. The hardware steps are exactly the same with an xbox: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZXqpkn8XB4&feature=related
